Beware reception closes at 3pm, however rang them after this time and they were very helpful in organising a water taxi to the airport the next day. 100 Euros, ouch!, But felt like a cross between a rock star and James Bond, worth every cent. The water taxi picked us up directly from the hotel.
The hotel location was excellent, and easy to find in a city that is sometimes difficult to navigate.
the hotel location is relative good, close to Saint Mark square, the rooms have and original and old feeling, which is nice, romantic even.
the room we stayed in was quite dark, not like in the website photos. price is quite high.
Great location. The room decor was nice, in trying to portray Venetian design and the modern bathroom was a big plus! Plenty of space in the room and very clean.
To improve, they could serve warm breakfast...eg, a selection of cooked eggs - omelette, hard-boiled, etc.
Location was excellent, central but very quiet. Room very traditional in the venetian style and very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast very nice.
I would have preferred not to have the TV in the room; coffee making facilities would have been much preferable. The lack of a view was a shame as the room tended to be dark. However, other rooms did have a view and we were aware that all rooms did not. I would request this in future. Not a major issue though.
The hotel is nice and the rooms are very clean. Very good place to start your city trip from.
Our room was a little one, however it's not really an inconvenient because, sometimes, small equals pretty and cosy.
very poor breakfast , no elevator and have to carry the luggages up , through the tight and sew stairs...rooms were seem more beatiful in the internet pictures.
The location was very convenient - close to, but away from the hustle bustle of St. Marks. The staff was great!
Close location to St. Marco, value for money, lovely and helpfull staff, clean enviroment.
Location was perfect. Very close to the water bus station and just one stop before San Marcus Square which is five minutes walk from the hotel. We had a really big room for two people. It was very well decorated and clean. The washroom was also very clean (something that my husband is very particular about) and was most satisfied with the one at Locanda. Breakfast was nice with a good variety but all too sweet. Probably thats how italian breakfasts are !! The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
Everythign was perfect. Probably just a little variety in breakfast like eggs and croissants and fresh fruits would have been appreciated. Otherwise too good, would recommend to everyone !
Good value, great location. Close to St. Mark's Square and water taxi can provide curbside service. Staff was helpful and accomodating - storing our luggage before check-in, early check-in, arranging transportation, providing directions and making recommendations.
The location of this Locanda is the main selling point. Helpful and welcoming staff.
We were on our honeymoon and we are assigned the largest room; Giglio, however this rooms view was facing a courtyard and was extremely dark. Very little natural light. There are smaller rooms with canal side views which would have been better.
A nightmare. If you face a problem after 7 pm, forget it to find any hotel assistant but a night guard, probably not Italian and do not know anything. It may be a family-owned enterprise but should be more professional.
